MAM Picnic & White Elephant Auction
Franklin Park, 8706 Roe Avenue, Prairie Village, KS
Saturday, July 15th, 12:30 pm
Auction begins at 2:30 pm
People have been asking — when is the Picnic? And finally — it’s here, it’s now. Meet up with friends you may not have seen for a year! See, and then taste, what surprise deliciousness may await you at the food table. Snag a bargain treasure! Fund our local scholarships!
MAM will provide burgers and dogs, buns for both, condiments, cups, plasticware, water and other light non-alcoholic beverages. Bring your own favorite potluck dish to share.
The schedule is:
11:30 am Setup
12:30 pm Chow down on burgers, dogs, and yummy side dishes
2:30 pm White Elephant Auction
3:30 pm Cleanup — not fun but necessary
Volunteers! Can you show up at 11:30 a.m. to help set up? Arrange the food table? Arrange the Auction items? Take care of the sign-in sheet and hand out name tags? Keep track of Auction sales — who bought what and for how much? Let Cynthia know and she will let you know where you are most needed.
Parents: This is a great opportunity for our young M’s and their families to meet in person! The park has abundant shade, a nature playground with stream, indoor bathrooms, a big sand box and more!
Everyone: Help fund the scholarships MAM offers to students in our area! Search your closets and garages. Bring your good condition items to be snapped up. Be prepared for good finds and have fun bidding!
Harvesters: It’s a long-standing picnic tradition to bring donations for Harvesters. Those of us who volunteered at Harvesters learned they collect household items as well as food. Products like diapers, band-aids, toothpaste, feminine hygiene, and shampoo are welcome, along with the canned goods you’d expect that every family needs.
