Are you still thinking about registering for Cabin Fever? Register and meet Mensans from Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and South Dakota!
The registration desk will open at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4th, in the hotel lobby. The hospitality suites will be open with snacks and drinks for people to meet and socialize along with a social mixer game and a self-paced scavenger hunt game. We’ll start a card game at 7:00 in the suite and treat your taste buds with a beer tasting event at 8:00.
Saturday morning (as soon as the first person wakes up, possibly 6:00 a.m.) we will open a ballroom and let the games begin. The hotel has a breakfast buffet from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the atrium. Free with a room reservation, or $8.99 without.
Presentations will start at 9:00 a.m. We hope you’ve seen the speakers in earlier Mensions or in emails or maybe even Facebook posts.
In general, we will have several board game tournaments running on Saturday. Exact times yet to be determined. Most likely Scrabble, Ticket to Ride, Clue, Monopoly, and Mexican Train Dominos. Please let me know if you have a request and I’ll see if we have that game.
At noon in the hospitality suite, we will have our crockpot soup contest and sandwiches.
At 6:00 p.m. in the ballroom we will have dinner and the keynote presentation at 6:30. After the keynote we will have ballroom dancing lessons (approximately 7:30). At 8:30 p.m. we will have a wine tasting event, hosted by a sommelier, in the adult Hospitality suite. At 10:00 p.m. in the adult Hospitality suite we will have a Shibari dance demonstration.
The hotel’s Sunday morning breakfast buffet runs 6:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the atrium. Free with a room reservation, or $8.99 without a room. At approximately 9:00 a.m. MAM’s LocSec Kim Jackowski will give her closing remarks. At 10:30 a.m. we will close the board game and puzzle ballroom and wrap up festivities.
