The ‘Your Thought Counts’ poll is now online. Please vote!

What is it? Find the ‘Your Thought Counts’ poll near the top of this website, along the right-hand sidebar. The poll works like a multiple choice question with four possible answers for you to choose from and then submit your vote. All you need to do is read the question and select the radio button (or, dot) next to the answer you want to choose. Then hit the Vote button to submit your selected choice (Answer) to our polling form. Again, please vote!

Who thinks up the questions and answers? The questions and answers are the product of a brainstorm going on in the mind of the web editor. It is intended to provoke some analytical thinking from you based on our current state of affairs in the world. Another question will be posted as a new poll from time to time. Results will be posted as well if enough interest (in terms of vote count) is shown. Successful polls are data-driven and require a certain level of participation for meaningful results to be interpreted honestly.

Poll #1 (see chart above) featured several answers which were based on the great thinking of two notable philosophers. The first philosopher, Hannah Arendt (1906-1975), thought/wrote about the transforming power of people to develop themselves through learning and become a better society. The second philosopher we noted, Georg Cantor (1845-1918), was the intellectual force behind the solving of the mystery, or labyrinth, of the infinite.

Poll #2 is about starting a journey because coronavirus-related restrictions are easing. It’s a quick look at one of the most famous quotations from the Tao Te Ching (attributed to Lao Tzu), and then a request for your thoughtful response.

Your thought counts!
